Support two girls in our girls home - Roslin and Anamika's story.
Roslin and Anamika would play together and beg from people who came to a religious pilgrimage site in Dhaka city. Roslin's caregiver and Anamika mother also were begging, but they relied on the girls earnings as well. Both girls were fascinated when Children's Uplift Programme opened down the road. The girls loved the warm meals and the care and the love they received. Eventually both girls moved full time into the girls hostel. Roslin's mother tried to take her back due to the income she received but since Roslin wasn't her legal daughter, the police didn't allow her. Anamika's mother also removed her from the hostel but eventually allowed her to return. Now both girls are living in our hostel where they go to school, play, have healthy food, loving care, and safety. Roslin is top of her class for the region. Roslin and Anamika love dance and music.
Our girls home takes at-risk girls off of the streets of Dhaka and provides shelter, a safe learning environment and resources otherwise unavailable to these young women.
